This Stearman flew in on Saturday, camped overnight, then gave some rides on Sunday.
Milt Gunderson and his son flew in their beautiful Emeraude.
Starting them out young. The pedal plane was going all day with the smaller children having a lot of fun.
This well constructed RV-12 came in from Winstead, MN., where it was constructed by the Aviation Class at the local high school over a period of 2 and 1/2 years. Of the 8 students in the class, two have gone on to Aviation careers.
Breakfast, as well as the beautiful airport, was enjoyed by 650, with some driving all the way up from Blaine.
Isle had a very successful fly in on Sunday, July 14th. The threat of storms held off and the weather was beautiful.
We had 45 planes fly in to land on the nicely manicured grass runway.
Local friends of the airport were out to enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, and drinks. In all, 650 people were served.
There were aircraft in from all over mid Minnesota with one flying in from the middle of South Dakota. We had everything from Piper Cubs to Bonanza fly into Isle.
