Thanking volunteers for a successful year
Another successful year for Tree of Hope! The weather was perfect, probably the best year ever, with sunny skies and warm weather.
Santa flew in in his Piper Super Cub and was on hand to welcome the twenty plus pilots that flew into the Maple Lake Airport. Many others drove in from far and wide to deliver toys for Tree of Hope.
At the collection site, volunteers worked to help sort toys, make sure they all had batteries, and bag them up for the hospitals according to each hospital's needs. Bags of toys were then sent out with volunteers to be delivered to the various hospitals. Over all, more than 100 volunteers helped make Tree of Hope happen this year.
Tree of Hope would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers that helped make this year a success. Without the many volunteers Tree of Hope would not be able to help bring a little bit of joy to a difficult time for these children.
Tree of Hope delivered toys to 39 hospitals across the state of Minnesota again this year. Because of generous donations we were able to extend our toy deliveries to include the four Ronald McDonald Houses in the Twin Cities.
Tree of Hope would also like to extend its thanks to all who gave a donation of toys or money. Every dollar goes directly to toys and every toy goes to the children in the hospital.
As one hospital states, "These toys help to make the hospital visit a little less stressful for our young patients."
Thank you for helping us put a smile on a little face this holiday season.
